Design, supply and installation of 24 ramp panels and 20 saddle beam panels to form a ramp in the new extension to ExCel exhibition centre. The 24 ramp panels were 6m long by 2.4m wide and incorporated more than 300No 100mm diameter glass blocks. Approx 6200 glass blocks were used in total. Each ramp panel weighed 4.5 Tonnes.
The panels were manufactured from a special mix of concrete incorporating Cornish granite aggregate and white cement.
The ramp was constructed over an 8 day erection period.
