Evans by Shay Murtagh was proud to support the regeneration of the historic Crystal Palace Park in London by designing, manufacturing and supplying architectural precast concrete units for one of the park's most significant public realm improvements.
Working alongside Maylim Limited, our team was appointed in May 2025 to deliver bespoke architectural precast solutions for key elements of the redevelopment, helping create an attractive, durable and accessible environment for thousands of visitors each year.

As part of the wider regeneration programme, Evans by Shay Murtagh was tasked with delivering high-quality architectural precast concrete that would complement the park's heritage while providing long-lasting performance in a busy public environment.
The project required precision manufacturing to ensure every unit met exact design specifications, while achieving a premium architectural finish suitable for a prestigious landscape project.
Our scope included the manufacture of precast units for:
- Entrance retaining walls to the Lower Italian Terrace ramp
- PCC seating walls within the new dinosaur-themed children's playground
These elements needed to integrate seamlessly into the landscape design while providing exceptional durability, structural integrity and visual appeal.
Drawing on decades of experience in architectural precast concrete manufacturing, Evans by Shay Murtagh designed and produced approximately 100 bespoke precast units.
Each unit was manufactured using a premium limestone architectural concrete mix with an etched finish, creating a natural appearance that complements the surrounding landscape while offering the long-term benefits of precast concrete.
Every unit was produced under strict quality control procedures before being delivered to site throughout Q3 and Q4 of 2025, ensuring installation progressed efficiently alongside the wider construction programme.
